Colchester Vermont 500

Edge Pharma’s headquarters and manufacturing facilities are located in historic Colchester, Vermont, in the picturesque Northwest corner of the state. Nestled in the Green Mountains and on the Eastern shore of Lake Champlain, the small city attracts hikers, fishermen, skiers, and of course in the autumn months, leaf peepers.   Colchester is home to St. Michael’s College and the Vermont campus of the Albany College of Pharmacy. Fortune Magazine lists Colchester as one of the “100 Best Places to Live.”

A popular recreational spot in the area is the Island Line Rail Trail, where cyclists and walkers follow the route of the old Island Line Railroad, built in 1901. History buffs might like to head to Colchester’s Vermont National Guard Library and Museum, which offers an impressive collection of artifacts from the state’s history, beginning with the Revolutionary War.  And speaking of the Revolutionary War, nearby the 1787 home of soldier and folk hero Ethan Allen is a living history museum, where visitors can learn about what it took to survive on the Vermont frontier.

Colchester is just eight miles north of Burlington, Vermont’s most populous city, a vibrant “college town,” as home to the University of Vermont.
